Two days after Benazir’s second death anniversary; and Pakistan People’s Party being in power for almost two years; the assassins of Benazir are living, ‘happily ever after’. I remember the chaos on the day when Benazir was assassinated; I did not even know that if I will be able to reach home safely; but after two years, this nation has fully realized that what a loss it was! May the loss seem bigger now that we have seen PPP without her leadership and especially since her death has left us to deal with Mr. Asif Zardari.
The country is being looked after bureaucracy right now and there seems no sign of governance in the country; its chaos and haphazard decisions, with no vision is the ultimate policy of this government. Zulfiqar Mirza threatened to break the country at the time of BB’s death; well Mr. Mirza I am sure that people of Sind are neither brainless nor drunk cowards like you; neither do they love power as much as you and nor do they behave like a villain. I don’t understand that why out of nowhere such comments and statements are being made by these good for nothing politicians; do they only see their self-interests? Do they not realize that such statements are going to further degrade the country’s image? Is it all what they can think about? And whether, these statements are only being made, to save one man, sitting in presidency.
Pakistan People’s Party has been in power for almost two years now, and they have failed to find the assassins of BB; and I question why? The very simple reason I see here is that PPP is so much in love with power that they forgot to inquire about the assassins, the party is so much occupied in yelling about the conspiracies against them; the party is too busy in corruption and not to forget that Mr. Zardari is too busy buying land in Islamabad. Plus one thing that a lot of people have said after BB’s death is that why would the person probe, if he is the biggest gainer of BB’s death! [click to continue...]

The poor country of Pakistan where majority of the people are living below the poverty line and where parents kill their children before committing suicide because they can not afford food to feed them, PPP Government is all set to build a Benazir Bhutto monument at the cost of Rs 1 Billion. The PPP was founded with the slogan of “Roti, Kapra and Makan”. The founding slogan has lost its meaning as the party has failed to achieve this goal and instead wasting the national wealth on glorifying its late chairperson Benazir Bhutto.
According to Dawn newspaper story:
ISLAMABAD, Dec 26: The government is all set to build a Rs1 billion monument at the site in Rawalpindi city where former prime minister Benazir Bhutto was assassinated in a gun-and-suicide bomb attack on December 27, 2007; sources told Dawn.
Though the monument would be built in the historical Liaquat Bagh, which falls under the administrative control of the Punjab government, the federal government would provide the fund for the project. [click to continue...]

In the recent developments Pakistan People’s Party declared war against media, particularly Jang group and its journalists namely; Kamran Khan, Shaheen Sehbai, Ansar Abbassi and Shahid Masud. In the most surprising way Senior Minister of PPP in Punjab, Mr. Raja Riaz said that we will break handd of whoever tries to topple the government or try to create any such nuisance. The self-proclaimed champions; of democracy, freedom of speech and protection of rights; have now become usurpers, oppressors and civil dictators. It seems that power has got to the brains of these politicians.
This heat in the political scenario has started after the judgment on NRO. Not to forget here that it is these same politicians who left NRO on the mercy of Supreme Court, because the politicians lacked decision making, were scared to come out and make a decision. I wonder what sort of leaders are they when they cannot make one decision on an ordinance; how can we expect them to make larger than life decisions for this nation then. All these leaders can think of is Foreign Aid, increasing tariffs and protecting American interests. It is surprising how the nation’s attention is being diverted from an increase in power tariff. After the Supreme Court’s decision on NRO the political canvas has changed the landscape as if hit by a massive earth quake. It seems that we have gone back to 90’s where all we heard was the government clash with other institutes or opposition or corruption or inflation. All this has seen to be revived after the NRO judgment; that came, the most surprising element were the recent comments given by Prime Minister to the media. It came as the most astonishing element of the recent regime when the most widely respected PM lashed out on media in defense of the most controversial President in the history of Pakistan.
According to many experts the current system is heading towards a major clash; i.e. Executive versus Judiciary. It seems that our politicians does not learn from past; and have not seen what happened with Musharraf government in the later stages when judiciary and executive clashed. It is ironic that how our ministers claim that we are in a state of war and look at our government’s priority; fighting against NRO; having more than eight hours long meetings over NRO and its defense; I wonder why there were no such deliberations over the electricity crisis or sugar crisis; perhaps because they were issues of masses and not of the top office holders. Brigadier Imtiaz has suddenly emerged into the lime light of media for his statements giving insight into the murky politics of Pakistan in 1990’s. Since being a Pro-Pakistan, i personally hate the era of 1990’s when our politicians made fun of the democracy and brought misery into the life of common citizens of Pakistan. Even Musharraf can be termed an indirect product of the actions of the political governments of 90’s.
Brigadier Imtiaz, the men whose in the headlines these days, is also one of the insider to the dramas and corruption carried out in the same 90’s era by Benazir Bhutto PPP, Nawaz Sharif PML and Altaf Hussain MQM. Let’s see first whose Brigadier Imtiaz himself and how come he has so much insider info that he has attracted the attention of the whole country towards himself? Why he emerged now to clear his conscience and what is his point of view on the the said situation. I will try to quote as many sources as possible so that our readers have a clear idea about the whole scenario.
Brigadier Imtiaz Ahmed

Brigadier Imtiaz Ahmed is a former director of Pakistan’s Intelligence Bureau (IB) between 1990-1993 and former senior operative in the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). He earned notoriety for his role in the covert Operation Midnight Jackal to destabilize the government of Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto in 1989. He was imprisoned on corruption charges in 2001 as part of the national accountability drive of former President Pervaiz Musharraf.
Brigadier Imtiaz Ahmed Revealations
Brigadier Imtiaz Ahmed emerged is best described by PassionateaboutPakistan blog site in the following words
”On August 23 he went on a live talk show joined on the phone by Lt. Gen. (Rtd.) Naseer Akhtar who was the Corps Commander Karachi overseeing the 1992 military operation against MQM. The two made several confessions and retracted past claims and [click to continue...]

A welfare programme announced by PPP, how very odd is that ? Good, lets have a look at it. Pakistan’s People Party led government just announced a welfare scheme for poor women named Benazir Behan Basti Programme (BBBP) (or triple BP by Triple P).
Zardari directed the provincial authorities to launch the programme from Sindh. Under the new scheme, poor women holding Benazir Income Support Programme cards will be given land by the government. Financial assistance would be sought from the Friends of Democratic Pakistan Forum for this scheme.
Seems a good programme, but anything and everything that is associated with our President seems to take it into the usual direction of corruption. Lets hope it ends up being a sigh of relief for poor segment of our society rather than another story in the mailbox of President Asif Ali Zardari.

Sometimes i seriously doubt the true intentions of few people appointed at the top positions of the country by the PPP government. I wonder of they are here just to disintegrate Pakistan at the behest of their masters sitting in the West. I am sure all our readers can easily point out whom i am talking about at this moment. Anyways, the current law and order situation in Baluchistan calls for urgent steps to address the issue of kidnapping and murder of the Baloch leaders. We all know that our enemy across the border is actively working though its consulate in Kandahar, Afghanistan to destabilize the province and providing refuge as well as money to those involved in anti-Pakistan activities.

Yesterday night the members of ANP made bold statements on television that they will not impose Article 144 and will resist from arresting any political worker participating in the Long March. However their tall claims could not stand one night test and later in the night, the hypocrites of ANP government ordered police to start rounding up the political workers and ministers of different parties who are participating in Long March.
Large contingents of Police force has already been sent away from the province towards Islamabad and now the few police officers left have been made busy to make arrests and guard the political workers facing house arrest. This will clearly give a golden opportunity to dacoits and kidnappers who will go on a looting spree and will spare no one.

The government has finally came down to the level where all the dictators of Pakistan left. General Ayub Khan, General Zia and then General Musharraf were famous for enacting rules in the middle of the night by bypassing all legal means and they placed a total ban on media if it started speaking against their interest. We all know how different news channels were banned in the recent past when Musharraf was ruling the country. I am really sad to say that the so called democratic government of PPP has also started using such tactics to pressurize the media from reporting on the ongoing events in Pakistan. They have also requested their mentors sitting in the Washington and London to pressurize the opposition parties like Nawaz Sharif to back out of their demands for the restoration of independent judiciary. The main reason is that this will impact Pakistan efforts in “War on Terror”. Since PPP government is very well aware of the weaknesses of the American and its allies, it is using it as a mean to achieve its evil designs of silencing the opposition to its dictatorial regime.
LAHORE: Police officials tortured Geo T.V cameraman and seized his camera when he was shooting footages of police violence on lawyers amid long march, Geo News reported on Friday.
