In the recent developments Pakistan People’s Party declared war against media, particularly Jang group and its journalists namely; Kamran Khan, Shaheen Sehbai, Ansar Abbassi and Shahid Masud. In the most surprising way Senior Minister of PPP in Punjab, Mr. Raja Riaz said that we will break handd of whoever tries to topple the government or try to create any such nuisance. The self-proclaimed champions; of democracy, freedom of speech and protection of rights; have now become usurpers, oppressors and civil dictators. It seems that power has got to the brains of these politicians.
This heat in the political scenario has started after the judgment on NRO. Not to forget here that it is these same politicians who left NRO on the mercy of Supreme Court, because the politicians lacked decision making, were scared to come out and make a decision. I wonder what sort of leaders are they when they cannot make one decision on an ordinance; how can we expect them to make larger than life decisions for this nation then. All these leaders can think of is Foreign Aid, increasing tariffs and protecting American interests. It is surprising how the nation’s attention is being diverted from an increase in power tariff. The words of Habib Jalib seem as applicable today as the time when they were said. Its easy for one to determine that times haven’t changed much after all. The only difference here is that the victims have grown more and more prone to the atrocities. The culprits remain free and more powerful. In this time if something has changed it is the opportunity to ‘Freedom of speech’.
Unfortunately not many in the mainstream media utilize this constructively. The freedom of speech thus rendered as a handy tool for their own vested interest. Painting the things they want as the truth and blocking the others. So who decides what is more important or problematic, not the sufferers I suppose.
I am reminded of Jalib and his words as I see images flickering by with time. the changing faces of the same old system. In all the mayhem I have but one hope that if all else is lost at least I have my ‘Harf-e-sadaqat’ loud and clear.

There are differnet copies of it available on YouTube so Pro Pakistan decided to present them all here for the ready reference of our readers. Please watch them and participate with full zeal in the Long March to get our country out of the current political and identity crises.
The second version with different background pictures.
The Geo Version of the Song. It is also very interesting and exposes the hypocrites of PPP
The government has finally came down to the level where all the dictators of Pakistan left. General Ayub Khan, General Zia and then General Musharraf were famous for enacting rules in the middle of the night by bypassing all legal means and they placed a total ban on media if it started speaking against their interest. We all know how different news channels were banned in the recent past when Musharraf was ruling the country. I am really sad to say that the so called democratic government of PPP has also started using such tactics to pressurize the media from reporting on the ongoing events in Pakistan. They have also requested their mentors sitting in the Washington and London to pressurize the opposition parties like Nawaz Sharif to back out of their demands for the restoration of independent judiciary. The main reason is that this will impact Pakistan efforts in “War on Terror”. Since PPP government is very well aware of the weaknesses of the American and its allies, it is using it as a mean to achieve its evil designs of silencing the opposition to its dictatorial regime.
LAHORE: Police officials tortured Geo T.V cameraman and seized his camera when he was shooting footages of police violence on lawyers amid long march, Geo News reported on Friday.
Yet again its only GEO which has suddenly got hands on a CCTV footage showing the gunmen flee from the attack scene. Geo is known to temper news, exaggerate findings, and create fake documentaries and footage, so its no surprises if the present CCTV is self created as well . Let us now analyze this footage;
Musa Khankhel used to tell his colleagues at The News International that he will be killed for his work as a journalist in Swat.
He was right.
On Wednesday, he was brutally murdered by unknown people while covering the vehicular procession of Maulana Sufi Mohammad, who is on a peace mission in Swat, from Mingora to Matta. The killers executed him after kidnapping him from Matta.
Musa Khankhel died with his boots on. He lost his life in the line of duty. He was the fourth journalist to be martyred in Swat since 2007 when violence first erupted in Pakistan’s most beautiful and peaceful valley. Sirajuddin, Aziz Khan and Qari Shoaib had been martyred earlier. However, Musa Khankhel’s murder was the first target killing of a Swati journalist. [click to continue...]
The new year has started and celebrations were made all over the world by the rich and the influential people. A lot of new resolutions were passed with many fancy words of honor and justice and in the midst of all this, i was thinking if anyone of us remember our sister Dr. Aafia Siddiqui? I even wonder if i am doing justice to the very relationship of sister when we term her as our sister and do nothing. Even her real sister was silenced by Ministry of Interior from holding a press conference few weeks back (Source Online News) to reveal the horrible treatment meted out to a Pakistani citizen, a mother, a sister and a wife for a crime which is still not known to anyone. There is no art needed for submission to humanity . There are no boundaries if one seeks a cause to fulfill in order to make a difference . Every time the world seems like an occupied entity of constant chaos , we are encountered with exemplary compassion . Among many assets of this 60 yr old nation comes Abdul sattar edhi . He has been a pioneer for social work in Pakistan and globally for decades. His simplicity and art of living is inspirational . The consistent hard work and sincerity behind the iconic Edhi welfare association is self explanatory. Mr. Edhi tops the list of people working globally for betterment in the society in all aspects. He has not only made a global name but his services to Pakistan and Pakistani’s will never be forgotten . So here he is again , with his usual humble and down to earth orientation on a begging regime through out Pakistan. The aim of the regime is to be able to gather money to establish ‘langar’ (free food) through out Pakistan , and hence help reduce poverty and hunger based problems.
Edhi has been greatly credited in the west . His inspirational work continues worldwide for war and natural hazard victims . What strikes the eye most is the man’s outmost simplicity which reflects the purity of his conscious. He has humbly turned down million dollars of foreign aid , and has opted to trust his people to help him in the cause. So far he has been able to gather up to 300 million rupees from different cities in Pakistan and continues on . To all my fellow country men please join me to salute this man’s personality and his consistent hard work. I have no words to pay tribute to this endless regime of social welfare , and somewhere I truly hope to let this not be a time to pay tribute ! Let this continue to inspire many !.
