Recently, a video has surfaced, whose authenticity can not be confirmed at this moment, but our media is more then ready to give it a hype and blame our army for all the evil. In the video, few soldiers have been shown whipping a man with a beard and asking questions regarding some terrorist relatives. It is worth mentioning here that the same terrorists never hesitated from cutting the Pakistani soldiers and civilians to peaces. They are hard core militants and will never be easy to break so i wonder what we expect from our soldiers? The Americans have used worst kind of torture but no one has ever raised an eye brow while they are always ready to unleash. The Daily Dawn even went to an extent to label our soldiers as “Poorly Trained” and at the same time they are more then ready to cry over our defense budget.
The video might also be an attempt to malign our soldiers and to bring down their moral when they are all set to launch the Waziristan operation.
This 3.34 minutes video is just a reflection on the lives of thousands of our brave soldiers who lost their lives in the War on Terror. These young and beautiful soldiers have sacrificed their lives for our motherland. Today we are enjoying the peace and comfort because of their blood. Look at the tears in the eyes of the brave mothers who are still raising just one slogan and that is “Pakistan Zindabad” and that their sons are “Not Dead as Shaheeds never Die”
Pro-Pakistan Salute These Brave Soldiers and their Families and the Whole Armed Forces of Pakistan for their sacrifices to Save Pakistan.
Crotale is the backbone of Pakistan Air Defence System. Crotale Surface to Air Missile (SAM) system has been in service of Pakistan Air Defence forces for the past two decades and has successfully thwarted any enemy designs against our vital and strategic installations.
Let’s see what Crotale SAM and Radar system is all about and what is its importance for Pakistan?
The Crotale EDIR (Ecartométrie Différentielle InfraRouge, “InfraRed Differential Ecartometry”) is an all-weather short-range anti-air missile, which can be used to intercept low-flight anti-ship missiles and aircraft. It has been developed by Thomson CSF Matra and exists in two versions, a mobile land-based version and a ship-launched one.
PakDef adds the following on the development of Crotale system:
“As produced, Crotale is normally mounted on a P4R (4 x 4) vehicle and can also be shelter-mounted for use in static defence (qv Shelter- and container-based surface-to-air missile systems section). The first Crotale, produced in 1969, was called the 1000 series. This was followed by the 2000 series in 1973 with IFF and TV camera, the 3000 series (originally designed for the French Air Force with automatic TV tracking) in 1978, 4000 series with radio datalink in 1983, the 5000 series in 1985 and the improved Crotale in 1994. Now this is what you call a truly amazing leader. As we have said in earlier posts, General Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani is true military leader who is always on the front to lead his soldiers. We have seen him numerous times going to the dangerous fronts to inspect the battle situation himself. But today he set a new tradition, which is the first in the history of the world.
According to the news reports, General Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani flew a Pakistan Airforce F-16 figther bomber to fly the first mission of Operation Rah e Rast by bombing the bases of foreign funded terrorists operating in tribal aras of Pakistan. The army chief was accompanied by air chief who was the first pilot of the plane. ( some news sources claim that a wing commander accompanied the army chief while air chief flew a separate F-16 on the same mission)
The F-16 flew for an approximate 45 minutes and later on returned to base safely. Even though the step has no major military implication but it will surely be a big boost to the morale of the soldiers who all saw their air chief and army chief flying the first few sorties on the terrorists hideouts. The soldiers will truly feel that their whole high command is fighting along with them should to shoulder and will not let the terrorists destroy the peace of our nation.
I am really proud to say that this country will never be harmed by our enemies when we have brave soldiers led by leaders like Ashfaq Pervaiz Kiyani.
Every new day ignites the inferno of fear and uncertainty ,such is the state of my country. While we are at war in our northern areas ,it wont be an implausible confession that the rest of the Country is no less than a battlefield. Or possibly worse as the target seems to be varied and the enemy has but one aim, maximum destruction. The military claims collateral damage as the operation intensifies . The military action has already cost over 81 lives of military men while over 250 have been injured .Most importantly it has also triggered the second largest Humanitarian crisis in the world over 3.5 billion homeless.

Despite the chaotic scenario one is overwhelmed by the spirit of those who have suffered most in the situation. Many working on ground convey the spirits of those who irrespective of their conditions show great support for military. These people have lost their homes and life, for them has come to a halt ever since the tussle with Taliban. Yet they continue to support and have strong faith in the ongoing military operation. The strength of these people leaves me perplexed ,are they hoping for the unattainable?. As much as one wants these people to be in the comfort of their homes, the genuine need for the operation to go on cant be denied. In fact the very thought of halting the military operation brings back the faces of the brave martyrs who have given their life to the cause. Their families that put p a brave front in hopes that their loved ones have not lost their lives in vain. With their pain comes the enthusiasm to completely throttle the enemy.

A few things are very clear now , that the war must go on till we rid ourselves from the insurgency that has cost us much more than human lives. Regardless of what must be done I find myself dumbfounded at the things at stake.
Just about today 400 cadets were kidnapped while they made their way back to bannu. Their hostel being evacuated and closed down on security basis. Nothing can be said for certain regarding the safety of these students. None of them were at war , none of them killed a talib yet their life is at stake today. It pains me that while I will type this off and sleep their mothers will be tearing helpless for their sons, who were out to study ,not rage war. How different is this mother today from the mother of an army man at the battlefield?, the latter perhaps is more prepared for the consequences. The truth is while many of us drain our pseudo intellectualism the majority wants peace and safety for their loved ones regardless. Their only hope is for peace their only stance the safety of their loved ones. My only question how long till we deny them the basic rights?
Update: Around 40 students and 2 teachers are still being held hostage, the rest have safely made it home.
A successfuly operation by Pakistan brave military force has resulted in the recovery of 80 students and staff members in the FR Bannu area. The Talibans were taking the students through the Garium area to South Waziristan. I will share my personal knowledge of the terrain for the easy reference of our readers.
The students were coming from Razmak area to Bannu and for this they had to pass through MiranShah, Mirali and then enter FR Bannu area and the finally enter Bannu. They were taken hostage in the FR Bannu area and the famous locality of the area is Bakakhel. Bakakhels are famous for kidnappings and other criminal activities in the past and recently they had to face the wrath of the Bannucis Tribe when they kidnapped a women from the area. The kidnapping of women is the biggest insult to any Pashtun tribe and hence Bakakhels were taught a lesson that they can not easily forget. That is one reason that they released all coaches of students which had female presence in them. Coming back to the topic, FR Bannu area is linked to South Waziristan through the Garium area and it is in this locality that the Army pinpointed for their operation since the involvement of Indian backed militants based in South Waziristan could not be ruled out. Around 80 students have been recovered from the area.
I still wonder about the status of the other 400 students that have been kidnapped? It is also worth mentioning here that the traditionally the militants divide their catch in small groups to avoid easy detection by the security forces and distribute them in various areas of the agencies. In this case, since North Waziristan is abiding to its peace deal, all the students will be surely taken to the South Waziristan area where Baithullah Masood rules supreme.
If government block all the routese to South Waziristan in time, i am sure it will be very difficult for the militants to take out their catch to their safe houses located in South Waziristan. We again feel that all this mess has been created because of the DCO Bannu who should have provided adequate security cover to the students once they entered the FR Bannu area.
As we all know our Pakistani brothers and sisters from NW are going through tough times. Our Pak army is successfully clearing out the area of these Indian backed terrorists, and thousands have to leave their homes and livelihood behind, all in the name of Pakistan and its security. They are only stuck in the middle of this fight without a choice of their own.
We would like to remind all Pakistanis in these tough times, that we are all proud PAKISTANIS. We all believe in One Allah, One Quran, One Prophet (PBUH) and we all love our ONE PAKISTAN. We may be different, and have beautiful diverse cultures but we are all Pakistanis and that only because we are together as one. Lets join hands in helping those who need us today and show them our solidarity, unity and faith.
Here is a very beautiful song from Mehdi Hasan a true legend. The song is absolutely amazing, and the words are overwhelmingly moving.
The message we would like to present is all in this song.
Lyrics are as below:
Ye watn tumhara hai,
Tum ho pasban is ke,
Ye chaman tumhara hai,
Tum ho naghma-khuaan is ke.

Story of a brave FC soldier who died fighting in Swat
“I am dying, take my gun and deliver it to General sahib,” were the last words of Sepoy Gul Farosh as he lay critically injured near Manglawar village in Swat on October 28, 2007.
Pakistan Frontier Corps His surviving colleagues from the Frontier Corps conveyed his words and delivered his gun to their officers. Maj General Mohammad Alam Khattak, Inspector General of the Frontier Corps, was subsequently informed about Sepoy Gul Farosh’s dying words. In his meetings with FC soldiers and visitors, the general often mentions the brave Jawan as someone who fought till the end and didn’t lose control of his gun even after being fatally wounded. There was a background as to why Gul Farosh uttered those memorable last words.
Below is the video of ambush on Pakistan Army Convoy carrying relief goods for the war torn region of Swat where Indian funded terrorists are actively involved in challenging our government writ. The attack took place on 27th May, 2009
We can all well imagine that the terrorists are the enemies of both public and our military. It is right time that we all get together and give a unified response to these Indian funded terrorists.
