It seems that Aitzaz Ahsan is totally aware of the draft resolution on the 62 points agenda of the PPP government and totally disagree with it. That is the main reason he is so openly asking the people to join them in the long march for the restoration of the judiciary.

Aitzaz Ahsan and Makhdom Amin Faheem used to be considered the face of PPP during the hard times of the party while Musharraf was in total control and beside getting many attractive offers, both of them never compromised on their principles and sticked with the party. Today on the other hand, they both have been totally sidelined and Zardari and his cronies are running the show. This whole episode cast a shadow over the PPP.

Aitzaz Ahsan has even declined to be part of the by elections and is working with full zeal for the cause of judiciary.

Addressing the media on the occasion of a signature campaign, Aitzaz said lawyers had been active over the issue of judges’ restoration and now people should actively take part in their movement. He said long march would begin on June 11 from Multan.
