The first thing that struck me was the sincerity and responsibility of the employees towards their work and how much quality matters to them. Even though there were many times when they did not agree with the manager’s decision they would sincerely and honestly complete their work. I found my colleagues to be open and honest almost always expressing what they think. Besides their working habits, my fellow colleagues were very well mannered and cordial. Always greeting everyone in the morning and saying goodbye while going out. I was the only non Dane in the company and was never made to feel an outsider. My religion and ethnicity was respected and I was even given a separate room to say my prayers. The Danish society is based on an income-related tax-financed system. The higher the income, the higher the tax rate and I was amazed to find that some people actually pay 65% of their income in taxes. That’s one o the reasons that the difference between the have and the have not is non-existent. This social system acts as a safety net and takes care of a Dane from birth to death. Healthcare and education are free for all Danish citizens.. The Danish system encourages women to work and therefore also gives a lot of privileges, like a full year paid maternity leave. You are entitled by law to take 2 consecutive days off from work when your child is sick without your pay being deducted. The working hours are also very flexible and most of the offices are deserted by 4.30 pm but they also start rather early, my manager was at work everyday at 7 am and would leave at 3 pm. The schooling system is also structured in a way so that the mother too can have a fulltime job. There are 3 different kinds of institutions, first is called a Vuggestue, which is for children between the ages of 6 months to 3 years then they move on the børnehaven which is for children between 3 and 6 years and then the school from 6 years onwards. All the institutions are open from 7 am until 5 pm. In Denmark all children at compulsory school age which 6 years onwards, are entitled to receive free instruction in the state schools. After a year in Copenhagen, Denmark, I was lucky enough to find a job in a patent consultancy company as a coordinator and that was the beginning of a new learning experience in my life. I have worked for law firms in Karachi as a para-legal but working in Copenhagen has been a learning experience.

“yea jahan cheez kiya, Loh O’ qulam terray hain”
According to my perspective, to praise such people & country who make fun of our beloved prophet’s image & hurt feelings of billions of muslim dewelling on this planet are unacceptable to me by any MEANS.I don’t find word to explain my pain towards this cartoon controversy,I just know one thing in a society where people call their mother a “Bitch” & refer their father as “Old-Guy” we expect all kind of demoralization from them.
