Majority of us use dictionaries in our day to day life to check the meaning of new words that we encounter in our day to day life. Being a Pakistani, English to English dictionaries often confuse us since the meaning of a word might itself be require another search of itself. In such cases, English to Urdu or Urdu to English dictionary can come in handy to solve our problem. However, that lead us to a second dilemma of carrying a big and heavy dictionary in our pocket that contain approx 200,000 plus words.

Now you don’t have to worry about this problem any more since i recently did some search and found out about this amazing Pakistani dictionary site titled “UrduEnglishDictionary.Org”.

UrduEnglishDictionary claims to be the most detailed UrduEnglishDictionary available on the web and contains more then 200,000 words and their meanings. I did some research on it before writing this post and the site literally came up with most relevent meaning for all the words that i searched for and hence it really impressed me. The site CEO is Mr Syed Vaqas Tanveer and he is assisted by a big team since 2007. The counter on the site shows that it has been accessed by approximately 6.49 millon users since 2007 and that is a huge number for any such site.  The site is full of advertisments (both paid and Google Adsense based) and a long list of keywords is evident at the end of the page. Overall the page design is not very impressive but it still answer almost all queries that i could imagine and hence passed my test. The front page of the site puts the stats in comparison to its rivals in the following table.

Pro-Pakistan team really appreciate the good work done by the team of the site and wish to see it prosper in the future. The success of the site depends on the interest of its visitors and hence we recommend it to them to improve the looks of the site and also add other options like Synonyms, antonyms and usage of the words in a sentence for the better understanding of the readers and hence increase stickiness of the site.
