Rise of a Dawn

by Ahson Malick on December 26, 2009

There is no mystification in DAWN, dawn remains clears and rises over the world, fog of puzzlement and clouds of question can not hide its shine, it speak for itself. yesterday was 25th December, a quite noteworthy day in world’s history, date of birth of Hazrat Maseeh (A.S ) whose message was love and tranquility, a person equally dear to two of the biggest faiths, Islam and Christianity, a true messiah whose second coming is still patiently awaited, but this date has also witnessed arrival of another person who is considered as a messiah in his own right, a man who bring the message of unity faith and discipline, passed the significance of freedom and vision, he certainly was a messiah, a savior which Muslims of south Asia anticipated for a long time, messiah known as Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, a dawn whose rise is even more obvious now, there are people who loathed the dawn, but that despise only further reveled the reality of scenery of the dawn, to understand mentality of the anti-dawns one should ask himself few questions, questions like who hate dawn? Who is afraid of accepting the reality of a Dawn? why one would deny a dawn? Their denial made no difference, over the years dawn is making them accept it’s existence; it’s factual features are forcing even it’s worse critics to bow down in front of his rise, one after another we are hearing voices from one place and another about the intuitions which are coming from deep conscious compliantly accepting the greatness of the dawn, Quaid was a dawn, a dawn which shined rays of independence and bloomed the spirit of his vision and his crystalloid charisma inside millions of his lovers, even Quiad’s worse adversaries admired him for his enduring wisdom which made them believe in his will, people are kneeling in front of his insight image, getting attracted towards the magnetism of chronically excelling life of the man, there are many tales still be narrated, there are more to come for sure, latest being utter by Jaswant Singh, Jaswant Singh, whose biography on Quaid-e-Azam was released earlier this year, said he did not subscribe to the popular demonization of Jinnah and said he was attracted by the personality of the Pakistani leader.

“Of course I don’t (subscribe to the popular demonization of Jinnah). To that I don’t subscribe. I was attracted by the personality which has resulted in a book. If I was not drawn to the personality I wouldn’t have written the book. It’s an intricate, complex personality, of great character, determination,” JS said.

Being a leading visionary with a balance of both principles and pragmatism, Quaid-e-Azam had sketched three cardinal principles mentioned above: Unity, Faith, and Discipline; for all Pakistanis to follow, Today we all know Quaid as the founder of Pakistan, the man who achieved freedom for the down crushed Muslims of the sub-continent from the ruling British and saddened the plans of the “majority” who dreamt of rule in its place once the British had departed. Later, neither the rule of British viceroy nor the devices of Hindu Congress leaders, his own failing health nor the lack of resources could shake his resolution to achieve a separate country for the Muslims of the subcontinent. His dedication to his cause was so absolute that he kept the extent and the details of his illness an undisclosed from everybody. In spite of his serious health problems, he worked and traveled endlessly throughout India to organize the Muslims of the subcontinent.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah covered lot of obstacles and in doing so he covers lot of distant both physically and spiritually, from Jinnah, he became Quaid-e-Azam, but to really comprehend what made him a fascinating leader? What was so significant about him? It’s the fact that he is person who was able to join millions of subjugated and fragmented people in way that become one voice, one demand, and eventually one nation. We need to look beyond his title and heed his words and actions which show us what exactly made him what he was, a great leader, answer to all these questions is simple, it was his character morality and discipline which made him supreme, it made him Quad-e-Azam, The Supreme Leader, he was a man, a mission, a vision, an ultimate show stopper, who to an extent single-handedly spoiled the “show” majority around him tried hard to run. John Biggs-Davison one said

“Although without Ghandi, Hindustan would still have gained independence, without Jinnah there would have been no Pakistan in 1947.”

Can any buddy deny JB Davison today? No he can’t, after each process of re-examining the history from different dynamic aspects one will only strengthen the depth of the certainty about what JB Davison said, travel the world and seven seas, one will find it took a Columbus to find America, a George Washington to liberate it and a Abraham Linkon to unite it, Quaid did it alone, now one can point his finger on me about being a fanatic, but it’s really worth it, when you are trying to describe the stature of someone like Quaid , it becomes a privilege, more one try to discover the authenticity of this fanaticism more he will submit to it, try it or ask JS.

There is an interesting discussion which every now and then pops up from a particular group of people stating and claiming that Quaid was a Secular leader who want to base his creation on the sculpts of secularism, and in asserting to this point this particular group of people tends to present Quaid’s 11 august speech without looking into the context and neglecting the reference in which that speech was delivered, Quiad said and I quote:

“You are free; you are free to go to your temples, you are free to go to your mosques or to any other place or worship in this State of Pakistan. You may belong to any religion or caste or creed that has nothing to do with the business of the State.”

By looking at explanation people try to extract from it I get the feeling that those people attempt to play with words and trust me they do it pathetically, they are fond of hiring a lawyer to read and elaborate meaning of their father’s will but would go straight down to take a flat translation when it comes to more serious things which could be hazardous to their life style or not liked by their “employer”, whatQuaid is trying to state here is just an extended view of his believe in Islamic Ideology, consider it in the lime light of illuminating Islamic history where traditionally and evidently Muslims were compliant and lenient for minorities under the divine code ofQuran and Sunnah , here some critics raised point of “massacre” of minorities or conquered peoples by the hands of Muslim armies, there are events in which some Muslim monarchies did this for the sake of political and imperialist plans but it can’t be considered as some thing been done because it was part of the code, if it would then their would no non-Muslim in India and other places where ever Muslims entered as conquerors, in Spain its other way around actually being ruled by Muslims for centuries can some buddy point out the number of native Muslims living in Spain?

One has to look into the complete context of a text with a constructive approach of calculating the situational stricture and keeping an eye on the earlier image of the man who is delivering it because most of the times text is deceiving in a wordy way of trying, finding and elaborating for an explanation, in doing so quite often its real use becomes abuse, in that speechQuaid described the role and place of minorities in a Islamic welfare state under which all the minorities are free to practice their respective religion, people crediting that as declaration of secularism as state policy formQuaid , probably willingly and in their state of misinterpretation try to give the impression that Quaid’s vision was based on the ideology that state and religion are two different aspects and can’t be put together to establish a long-lasting tie between these two objects, while doing so these people tend to forget those enormous account before and after 11 Aug whereQuaid candidly express and illustrate his vision about the ideology of Pakistan in more concluding and expounding manner which they people overlook most of the times, this never-ending discussion form “secular” aboutQuiad’s plans and visions about the ideology of Pakistan becomes irrelevant when we look at the sequential approach of Quaid’s struggle for Pakistan, he clearly declare several times in more than one places thatPakisatn will not be a theocracy at any cost, it will be Islamic, Democratic welfare state in which all the minorities will be free to act upon their respective faith, but for some “specific” reason the “batch” of “enlightened” and so-called liberals strive to drag the argument back to the starting point at the end of every conclusion and start all over from the out of context amplification of 11 August’s speech.

it’s worth to have a stare at the what Quaid said in few of later and last speeches, specially for the people who go for a straight conclusion by only looking at the glimpses, following words of Quaid are a treat, when he was addressing to the State Bank of Pakistan on July 1, 1948.

“I shall watch with keenness the work of your Research Organization in evolving banking practices compatible with Islamic ideas of social and economic life. The economic system of the West has created almost insoluble problems for humanity and to many of us it appears that only a miracle can save it from disaster that is not facing the world. It has failed to do justice between man and man and to eradicate friction from the international field. On the contrary, it was largely responsible for the two world wars in the last half century. The Western world, in spite of its advantages, of mechanization and industrial efficiency is today in a worse mess than ever before in history. The adoption of Western economic theory and practice will not help us in achieving our goal of creating a happy and contended people. We must work our destiny in our own way and present to the world an economic system based on true Islamic concept of equality of manhood and social justice. We will thereby be fulfilling our mission as Muslims and giving to humanity the message of peace which alone can save it and secure the welfare, happiness and prosperity of mankind.”

Above detailed citation gives the clear-cut view of the intentions and motivation of Quiad-e-Azam, explains the spirit he wanted to declare as state policy, it clears lot of fuss and people should stop creating any more, if there is some thing they don’t like for any “specific” reason they should counter it on their own rather than look for perverse approach of using some one else’s word to carry out the task, Difference of opinion is a healthy sign for any society, but twisting facts In to fabrication of one’s liking is certainly an unwise way of achieving the goal,Quaid was clear in his mind and stated that crystal clearness on many occasions, People have to move forward and stop creating the confusion in the minds, it’s just not worth it, if someone have an agenda of declaring Pakistan a secular state then he should come up, make party or platform and present their ideas to the people of Pakistan, if they are so confident and think that it will resolve the problems people of Pakistan are facing, but i know they will not because they can’t due to the fact that they know most Pakistanis will reject them at once so they have to come under the wrap without overwhelmingly discussing much about their agenda, they tend to propagate it silently within enfold of fact’s distortion and with a strive for perplexity, actually it seems that they are the people who are baffle and perplexed themselves and these objects are causing the eruption from their inside but there is no confusion in DAWN, dawn remains clears and rises over the world, fog of puzzlement and clouds of bafflement can not hide its shine, it speak for itself.

The speech delivered on July1st,1948,a breif para from, i.e,”The adoption of Western economic theory and practice WILL NOT HELP us in achieving our goal of creating a happy and contended people. We must work our destiny in OUR OWN_WAY and present to the world an economic system based on true Islamic CONCEPT of equality of manhood and social justice.”
It is crystal Clear & there is no need to have dialogues that adoption of western way will make our life a HELL.western countries are breaking socialy & drifting towards a complete mess.If our leadership shows courage & common sense to make difference and shape up pakistan in modern & prosperous country ,they must kick out america first and cogency to make ourself contentment. We must make good ties & bussiness with Iran,Afghanistan, china. We should check Endiya too for cheap technology without any strings.
