The Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is the supreme law of Pakistan. It is also known as the Constitution of 1973, and is the successor to two earlier documents, the Constitution of 1956 and the Constitution of 1962.

The current constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan was formulated by Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. The Constitution came into effect from 14 August 1973. On the same day, Bhutto took over as the Prime Minister and Choudhary Fazal-e-Elahi as the President of Pakistan.

Z. Ali Bhutto no doubt had done a favor to Pakistan. A constitution that had not been made since 1947 he gave birth to it in which we see that four provinces are given powers and we make one nation. We make one nation as UNITED against everything that threatens our freedom.

If we were “UNITED against everything that threatens our freedom”, we’d be united against Zardari aswell.
Pakistan is by far one of the world’s most divided nations to date. Looks like we’ve learnt nothing from our past.
