16th December will always be a black day for Pakistanis, because it is the same day when a part of Pakistan became an independent country called Bangladesh. A lot has been said and inquiries have been performed to find out the exact reason for the separation of East-Pakistan but there seems no valid answer for it. A number of reasons contributed in the Dhaka debacle. The part of Pakistan that; out shined every other province in its contribution to the exports and foreign currency of the country and yet was the most under-privileged. An important point here to remember is that India played a very important part in the great debacle. A dictator with his rusty mind was not willing to give up the power - a certain trait mark of a Pakistani dictators and current politicians. Current country is not our Quaid’s Pakistan, with every passing day we are weakening the roots of this strong nation. It has always been the stubbornness of individuals sitting at the top that have divided this nation; whether mentally or geographically. Why have we not brought the then rulers whether military or civil to courts and hanged them even if they were dead? Why have we not deported their families and taken away the Pakistani nationality? What was the fault of those 90,000 vigilant men of Pakistan Army that were left high and dry at the disposal of enemy in the form of ‘Prisoner of Wars’, where my country men were mentally and physically tortured! And guess what, we have already forgiven all the culprits of the Fall of Dhaka and also India for being part of it! We are such a benevolent nation that it does not matter to us, what if we lost a part of country! What if we lost a hundred thousand men! What if we lost our brothers, sisters and fellow nationals! We yet continue to benefit the families of those culprits one way or the other. We yet continue to benefit the same country by watching their movies, dramas and taking their culture on us! I think all those people saying that it is Taliban spreading terrorism in Pakistan should think again then, because the name Taliban is only being used by the hidden evil that is India, which already has hurt our country once and will keep on trying one way or the other. I have already mentioned this in one of my articles, ‘Who Killed Our Fathers, Brothers and Children’ and yet again I believe the India has the biggest motivation to destabilize this country. I have heard one of our very senior analysts mentioning that why would India like to spread terror in Pakistan as a destabilize Pakistan will be dangerous for India but contrary to it is the fact that a destabilize Pakistan will be much easier to disintegrate; which India has been dreaming of, from the very first day of the existence of this country. The eyes are all set on Balochistan by India and America. If America uses drone in Balochistan, it will give fuel to fire and many will question the credibility of Pakistan to protect its province from foreign invasion, which in return will lead to a revolt from the locals of the province, causing further trouble for this struggling country and a developing nation. America has already entered Pakistan using the same technique as did by the East-India Company than; and it is not a hidden fact that Jacobabad base is already under U.S military. Why we are repeating the same mistakes again and again? Why are we sleeping as a nation again and waiting for our enemies to play havoc with us! Why is this nation being fooled by the leaders again and why don’t we recognize the true face of these politicians! We have to unite as a nation and our leaders have to take a notice of the public wishes. The leaders should know that nation and they should complement each other and not criticize each other. Our leaders have to learn to give more to the nation whereas they are taking more than the nation can afford to give. If such attitudes are not changed then not one but many black days will be observed by this nation! Related Articles |

A’kum. however, if u read history we attacked India first which caused them to have a perfect excuse of military intervention. Our hastiness. as for the 90,000 POWs was because of the idiot AAK Niazi. First of all, the 90,000 men had enough equipment to continue fighting much longer, according to the Hamidoor report. There was no justification for such a premature surrender. Look at how Indians handled Battle of Longewala and Chenhgiz Khan attack despite being outnumbered in a far worse condition. That is called leadership and patriotism. To make matters worse, rumour had it that in jail in Bengal, Niazi (so called Tiger) even offered the Indians secrets of the Pakistani military establishment and a promise to convert out of Islam if India freed him (yes, him only, and not the 90,000 men under his command) and allowed him and his immediate family to stay in India. He even offered to serve the Indian Army on strategic issues advisory on Pakistan and Kashmir!! This sort of traitor is unparalleled in our history. This traitor caused the largest surrender in history after WW2!! This surrender is far worse than the loss of East Pakistan. I accept the loss of E.Pakistan as a collective responsibility of Pakistan because I know for fact all W.Pakistanis looked down on the Bengalis and did not want to integrate with them, but only wanted the territory. But the military loss of 1971 and the great surrender is the darkest chapter in our history. And history looks like gonna repeat itself with the way we are handling Balochistan.
We should repent for 1971 and move on. Once the local population turned against Pakistani army, the war was lost. East Pakistan and West pakistan were separated by almost 1100 miles and in between was india. All the communciation lines between east pakistan and west pakistan ran through india. The entire coast of bengal was surrounded by India. In such circumstances fighting against a formidible indian army was impossible. The best solution should have been to give independence to east pakistan and so we would not have faced humiliating defeat, alas this didn’t happen. Even better, East pakistan and West pakistan should have been different countries right from 1947, unfortunately emotions made the better of pakistani leaders of that time and mistake was in accepting as one country, the only common betwene east pakistan and west pakistan was religon, and its known religon doesn’t unite but cultures do, otherwise, iran, turkey, paksitan all would have been one country but we are not. The Balochistan situation is very differnt from the situation of bangladesh. pakistan surrounds blaochistan from three sides and indian army has to go through sind to get to balochistan, not a easy task, however, we should not neglect the rights of our baloch brothers and sisters, and politics should play the role rather than the army. In any case, we should ask for forgive from bengalis, who died in scores. Lets move on and hope for a bright future for both pakistan and bangladesh
Hameed Bhai, India (which already has strong influence on the region through Afghanistan) has an even stronger ally (USA) on its side. Remember, the US is a country who can easily and legally come into countries thousands of miles away and just swallow it in a matter of months (Iraq and Afghanistan). Currently, the US is operating just next door to Balochistan. With both the US and India in joint hands against Balochistan, the odds are against us. And the game has begun. Osama and gang are now hiding in Balochistan, and the drones are soon gonna come in.
Keep In Mind That for Usa & India it will not be so easy to swallow “IRAN”,may be their presence affect pakistan bcz as you said earlier that we have lot of “Niazis” or “Nazis” but for sure Iran will be a very tough target for USA,they don’t know the history of Iran,Iran is a nation from 1000’s of years on the earth dominated by strong rulers and rich civilisation, they are fearless & brutal fighters for long, the only thing USA will use “Sunni Element” if our that sect. did some stupid thing to Iran than it would be a disaster for us & Iran.and Usa will then achieve its goal.
