Picture Post: Soch Rha Hai Pakistan ~ Amazing Rickshaw Poetry

by Mansoor Ehsan on November 10, 2009

Our old auto rickshaw is back again - this time with catchy stanzas depicting the current state of affairs in Pakistan. The lines rhythmically personify Pakistan reading about joblessness, corruption, traffic jams and other problems etc.

These lines are extracted from a poem at BBC’s blog that was published by Haroon Rasheed. What do you think of this “Always Speak the Truth” series? You can see his previous messages here (on Sasti Roti), and here (appeal from Load Shedding affected)

Here is the original version of the poem: (Source)

Can you make more such stanzas ;)

I actually gave it a look. Its so true. The media is to be ignored in these days. They are sold off to agencies and are always showing just the negative aspects of our country. If they come down to entertainment channels like GEO show bollywood movies and disregard Pakistan talent. It should be a complete disgrace for the media officials to stab their own country at the back. Their toungues are full of lies. ‘lagay raho media bhai’ ignore them till they fall in their hole they been diggin for years.
