Pak Suzuki increases prices by Rs 15000

by Mansoor Ehsan on October 29, 2009

After Indus Motors and Honda Atlas, Pak Suzuki has also joined the bandwagon and increased the prices of its different models from Rs. 5000 to 15000.

Previously Indus Motors increased its prices to 30000 and Honda Atlas increased its prices from 25 to 39000 depending on the model. Pak Suzuki notified in a circular to its dealers on Wednesday stating that the prices of Mehran have been raised by Rs5000, Alto by Rs10000 and Cultus by 15000. Whereas additional 5000 would be charged for metal colors.

Mehran known to be a middle income man’s car would not be purchasable any more due to higher prices and worsening economic conditions overall. Pak Suzuki says that due to weaker Pak Rupee and continued appreciation of foreign currencies, their production cost has gone up which is translating into higher prices. Is it the only reason or probably someone like X% has pressurized vehicle manufacturers to fill his ‘empty pockets’…who knows?

Pak rupee will soon be used as toilet paper just like the US dollar. Both are depreciating rapidly.

I am not agree with abdussamad!, as value of money is decreasing in every counter. Even U.S is suffering a great financial crises. So how we can say that Pak Rupee will soon be used as a toilet paper. We need to be united against such kind of activities.

the interior of swift is cheap & low quality . i think so the swift will not be popular as cultus & baleno . plz launch new baleno because it is a strong & powerful car. its interior is better than swift &liana . baleno is the most popular throughout the world & many people & i like it the most.
