Attock fort was built at Attock Khurd during the reign of Akbar the Great from 1581 to 1583 under the supervision of Khawaja Shamsuddin Khawafi to protect the passage of the Indus. Today it is sandwiched between Peshawar Road on one side and the River Indus on the other. Here is a Drawing of the Attock Fort from way back in time;

I am trying to find the birth registration of my great-grandfather who was apparently born in Fort Attock in about 1869. His father’s name is supposedly Frederick Bradley. He was Frederick William Bradley. If you can point me in the right direction, that would be wonderful.

Thank you

Hi Maria,
I dont think it is possible to dig out such old records. Currently Attock fort is under the administration of Pakistan Army. I have been to Attock fort couple of times but never heard of any old record keeping.

Br,
Zenab
