Fawad Alam becomes the first Pakistani batsman to score a century on debut away from home. Congrats for a wonderful century and rescuing Pakistan out of a tough spot.

Tension was running high, with experts lambasting Younis Khan for not playing Fawad Alam in the previous test match, that Pakistan lost in the space of 2 hours – Fawad Alam was given a chance at the top of the order to show his mettle. And the young left hander did exactly that. Although a middle order batsman, Alam did exceptionally well to score his maiden test century in the process helping Pakistan out of a disastrous situation.

Karachi born Fawad Alam is still at the crease  with captain Younis Khan at exactly 102. Pakistan has a lead of 28 and looks in a commanding position than they were 24 hours earlier.
