Muhammad Yousuf tops ICC test ranking

Muhammad Yousuf ranks number 1 in latest ICC test rankings. Yousuf surpassed his captain Younis Khan who was previously occupying the first position. Remember that Younis had to pay this price after lackluster performance by scoring 25 and 2 runs only in the first test against Sri Lanka. Whereas the first innings century at Galle took Yousuf to the premium position first time in his career.  Muhammad Yousuf also won player of the year award back in 2007 when he scored most runs in a calendar year.

After Yousuf and Younis, Gotam Gambhir of India holds the 3rd position followed by Shiv Naraine Chanderpaul of West Indies and Kumar Sangakara of Sri Lanka at 4th and 5th position. In bowling, Murlitheran holds 1st rank followed by SA’s Dayle Stein.
