Blogosphere Goes Wired And Active !

by Sana Saleem on July 7, 2009

The dawn wired and active show brings online activism to the mainstream. The Pakistani Blogosphere has become a hefty tool for citizen journalism and online campaigns. Ranging from political awareness to campaigning for various humanitarian issues. The blogging community has already become a closely knit network. With out official meet ups we learn to network and the casual gatherings help us understand each other better. Apart from all the fun times we have at the casual meet up we also discuss some amazing ideas and  how we can assist each other.

It’s a glorious world out here made up of a community that wants to be heard. Now Dawn’s bringing that to the television screens of millions globally. I was recently called on wired and active to talk about Blogging as citizen journalism. As by personal experience I would say the wired and active team is really welcoming, fun to work with  but strictly professional at the same time.  For the few hours that I was at the dawn studio I enjoyed thoroughly and it was a great experience. Here’s hoping that the Dawn wired and active team continues to highlight online activism and bridges it with the mainstream world.

Dawn’s initiative  will educate the audience about the world of blogging. How blogs can be used as tools to promote ones opinion or to run a campaign. We sure hope that wired and active continues to engage more bloggers and help us recruit more people into the blogosphere. For now you can watch Pro-Pakistan at Dawn wired and active on Wednesday 8.30 pm!. The episode will also feature bloggers from Palestine,Honduras and Iran , so something to really look forward to.
