After the arrival of 6 JF 17 earlier , a new chapter begins in the history of Pakistani Defence Production as News coming in that Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has started assembling of the first Pakistani-built JF 17 Thunder combat aircraft. Chief of the air staff, Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman inaugurated the construction in a ceremony at Kamra.
This success will enhance Pakistan’s air power in the region and at international scale, Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman said. He praised the Chinese cooperation and said that the joint Sino-Pak project is a living example of the cooperation between the two countries.
The News reports :
Chief of the air staff, Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman inaugurated the construction in a ceremony at Kamra. Top military and civilian officials of Pakistan and China attended the ceremony. Pakistan and China signed an agreement for the production of 42 JF-17 fighters, which are expected to form the backbone of Pakistani aerial combat fleet in coming years.
The Pakistan Air Force has so far received eight JF-17 jets from China that are being used for testing and evaluation. The PAF plans to raise its first squadron of JF-17 jets by the end of this year.

Yet again this mashahAllah is value addition to country’s defense, but i wish to see the day Pakistan actually manufactures and produces its own designed air jets. Its not that we lack in concerned intellect or expertise but would rather say its the matter of getting the project financed. Thanks to the political policies that always have been hindering on the attributes and strategic planning for country’s good.

I am a Chinese, I love Pakistan! Thank you, for you help us in hearthquake SiChuang. What we do is just a little! What’s more, help Pakistan develop yourself manufacture power, no longer depend others, include China, which is what I will. 60 years before, there is nothing in China, 50 years before, Soviet Russia keep away from China, closed door to China. However, we stand up by ourselves. I believed Pakistan can do so! Untill one day, without western help, without Russia help, without China help, Pakistan also can speak loudly, Yes we can! It’a what I wish, and I believed it is also what most Chinese wish! Becouse, we know, we experience Soviet Russia leave, no one want to help us, etc. But, all aforemetioned experience push us to develop independantly.
