Hypocrites of ANP Started Crackdown on Long Marchers in NWFP

anp-poster Yesterday night the members of ANP made bold statements on television that they will not impose Article 144 and will resist from arresting any political worker participating in the Long March. However their tall claims could not stand one night test and later in the night, the hypocrites of ANP government ordered police to start rounding up the political workers and ministers of different parties who are participating in Long March.

Large contingents of Police force has already been sent away from the province towards Islamabad and now the few police officers left have been made busy to make arrests and guard the political workers facing house arrest. This will clearly give a golden opportunity to dacoits and kidnappers who will go on a looting spree and will spare no one.

I wonder if ANP is not aware of the ground situation where their own leadership has been attacked so many times, that the police force is already too much occupied with the security matters to play the role of personal guards for the PPP and ANP government.

Pro-Pakistan fully supports the Long March and wants this shameless acts of violence to stop. Let the people decide their future. We don’t want the dictators and the red caps any more. We all know that it was the same ANP who sided with the Indian Congress during the partition times and acted against the Quaid e Azam. The traitors are back again on the front line.

PESHAWAR (Zia-ul-Haq): Section 144 has been enforced in NWFP and dozens activists have been detained in the province after Sindh, Punjab and Balochistan provinces.
DCO Peshawar Zaheer-ul-Islam has announced enforcement of section 144 in the city and Jamat Islami district chief and his deputy have been detained at their houses, while hundreds political activists have been arrested.
The PML-N leader Zafar Iqbal Jhagra and dozens local leaders of Tehrik-e-Insaf have been detained at their houses.
Police raids and crackdown continued against the lawyers leaders.
Chief Minister of NWFP Amir Hyder Hoti Thursday said that no arrests will be made and 144 imposed in the province.
