Unknown persons attacked the central secretariat of Tehreek-e-Insaf and tortured local leaders of the party here on Sunday. Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders told Geo News that in the night between Sunday and Monday, eight armed persons stormed into the office of the party, situated at Embassy Road and started beating the people present there.Local leader of the party Awais Khalid and others wounded in the attack. This is a really sad news. As a cricket fan, I really like Imran Khan. I also believe that IK is the cleanest politician in Pakistan whose true potential has been stunted due to the political environment in Pakistan as well as his own ill-conceived maneouvres.Nevertheless, it is a sad day for Pakistan and South Asia that such violence is being perpetrated against IK’s party. When IK joined politics, I was excited because I thought I will see him as the PM of Pakistan one day. I just hope he does not join the league of Benazir.
