The incident happened in Karachi Defence Housing Authority area when 30-40 stick yielding worshipers came out and surrounded an adjacent place to mosque where concert was being organized. The worshipers complained that the concert organizers didn’t stop even at the time of the prayers and resulted in loss of concentration during the prayers.
I personally agree with the fact that our concert going crowds mostly don’t even give a break when Azaan is given and prayers are actually taking place. Having said that, i will also add another incident where we were offering prayers in capital city of Islamabad in a moque and Qazi Hussain Ahmed, the so called flag bearer of Islam, was giving his fiery speech against everyone except himself and constantly disturbing the crowd offering prayers. No one even dared to ask him as to why he don’t just shut up when the prayers are being offered next to him in a moque. He didn’t join the regular Juma prayers and after half hour started his own jamaat on the main square infron tof the Parliament house. We as a people of this country often show hypocrisy and that is why we have such hypocritic leaders. Our newspapers, our media, our leaders and our people all show a growing tendency of hypocrisy. Let’s face it that unless we correct our own selves, things will never change for us. Related Articles |

u r right ! but the event occured at nisar shaheed park was conveyed to ppl as it was an attack by TALIBAn Huh…how these media and our politicians acting toward ISLAM … in JANG there is a news relating the event that ….. valentine ki taqreeb per musalla taliban ka hamla qabil-e-muzammat hai….(altaf hussain)…..

Whats wrong with Muslims now.
I would disagree a with a concert even being organized anywhere near a masjid, let alone the volume.
Talking of hypocrisy, these vary from indivisual to indivisual, you cannot relate two incidents, why? because first it was qazi hussain whom no one gives a damn about, and then, the people who rebelled were people living in the neighbourhood, and belonged to the same rank of the society as the concert goers.
All these things should be taken into consideration, don’t you think ?
I think it is time that People of Pakistan had a combined voice. US, and our govt has been trying hard to not let Pakistani people have a united voice so far. The politicians come from us, we must improve ourselves, we must have united local groups who will stop any such concerts being held in the first place anywher near a religous place. We must do it ourselves, as the leaders are more interested in filling up their pockets unfortunately. But as I said they are from within our own sosciety, what I mean is that we need to improve ourselves and our children and sosciety in general so that even if we were in power ourself, we would not do what is wrong when we are offered $$$$. Also as an immediate fix, we need to get together with our local people to form local groups that will stop such incidents.
No wonder that some areas in Pakistan are demanding local shariya law. i think if the locals demand it, they should be given local laws instead of fighting and killing them.
May Allah keep us all on the right path, and united.
I think, Muslims who were offering prayer were wrong..indeed.they souldn’t have reacted. This was not the teaching of our prophet(PBUH) to fight aginst such intruders..rite? In early days of Islam, these incidents used to happend when muslims were offering prayer, kuffar intantilly used to make noise.. but they don’t react to any kafar….correct me if i m wrong.
