A Cry From Inside Over Heartbreaking Situation In Gaza

by Qurratulain Akhtar on January 5, 2009

This is a guest post by Tehreem Saad

Today we all have seen what has happened in Gaza, Israel so called most powerful country is on war against weakest nation of the world and the whole world is watching it quietly. Watching it so quietly, like if uttering a single word may disturb the flow of the movie………

Is Israel the only powerful country? Is this world a power show whereby the stronger gets on the weaker one, just to prove that he’s the best….. What other powerful countries are doing? Can’t they hear the screams of defenseless women and children who are dying there everyday? Can’t they see blood shed of innocent people?

The only thing I want to know is that what’s the issue that killing people is the only solution? I don’t know whom to ask that when these horrific attacks on Gaza will be stopped? Top of most now this bloody war has entered into the streets of Gaza where hundreds of innocent citizens are already dead and wounded people are waiting for medicines I wonder when action will be taken to ceasefire?

Ground realities show that it is the fate of Palestinians to die like this for raising question about their basic human rights and survival. It seems Israel was waiting for an opportunity to kill a large no of Palestinians and is not in a mood to miss this opportunity at any cost. As if the Palestinian’s blood is the only objective to this war.

How this all will be stopped, is a big question for me, and for almost everyone….. but we must find out the answer, because next time it may be our turn…. So what will we be doing in such situation. The only purpose to raise this question is to know whether we can do something in this situation or not?

I think the only problem to all our miseries is not following Islam in its true spirit. The way the overall Muslim society is facing degradation today is worst then ever and you may all agree with me that today we are the most confuse Muslims who do have doubts about their religion deep inside their hearts and that is only because we never learned to be Muslims. We are not Muslims by choice but Muslims by birth and hence we don’t value our religion. The sects were made to divide us as Islam believed in just one Ummah and not any sects and then we were further divided into independent states (actually it made us more dependent but not on our fellow Muslims but others) and now we are even further divide into fundamentalists, extremists, Enlightened, moderate etc etc and the irony of the matter is that we are do fall into the trap set for us very easily. It is the time that we get united and throw away the complex jargons of division fed into us by the Western media and get united as just one Ummah.
May Allah bless us all and unite us. Ameen

@Junaid,
“I think the only problem to all our miseries is not following Islam in its true spirit”
VERY true words. I second that.
Also I would like to join you in your prayer:
May Allah bless us all and unite all Muslims.. Ameen

We obviously cant and shouldnt expect the non-Muslim nations to help. The solution has to come from within Muslims. Iran, Saudi, Pakistan, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Indonesia, Malaysia are all countries that should get together to bring israel down to its knees. Unfortunately untill they do that, israel and its supporters are enjoying themselves, testing their might, against the poor, helpless victims whose crime is only to be there.
These israelis are so heartless people that they dont even think before they pull the trigger, if its a young child in front of them, or a Hamas fighter. i can sort of understand if the children were dying out of the air bombing etc, but most of these casualties seem to be from gun wounds.

I pray to Allah that those who are responsible for this kind of war crimes around the world are brought to justice, in this world and the next. Ameen.

I am sorry to reply here, because i partly disagree with the juanids assesment of muslim unity perhaps all i say is like nonsense to you. I publish regularly on the your views page of alJ. Like usually when there is a (political) crisis with capitalism involved, not the most of it gets published. But i have to speak my mind. I want people to know what i think, because it is so horrible, i don’t want them to face this bleak future blindfolded.

In my point of view the arab nations (becus noone else will , they are really not the best at delivering the freedoms and rights to their people)will have to insist on palestinean dignity in the forthcoming (”peace” is palestines ongoing repression) peace process. The one thing that could be negotiated within the parameters of teh current situation is gazas acces to the rest of the world, and teh worlds acces to gaza.

This is actually a very high ideal, and thus probably one the islam establishments have nothing to gain from. The israeli repression and terror namely sets more and more examples of how a nation would have the right to kill indiscriminately (socalled collateral) and eliminate political opponenys.
(socalled targetted)

This leaves me very sad, even with the for the palestineans best outcome chances are so many will want to brag about “succes” the israeli rhetoric will once again become a standard aspect of the worlwide terror that facilitates the gap between rich and poor.

Obviously my opinion is arab leaders are equally to blame as israeli. Nevertheless i remain soldair with the palestineans, i don’t give a crap about their or anyone elses religion.

its about human rights and dignity.
Sure i respect that people take up the small jihad, and sure that it is part of muslim identity. but if islam led its adherents “born into” according to junaid to be the wiser, would not one arab leader have the enlightenment to undo this blockade? to blame mubarak, for the current situation? to stand up against the israel supporting UN?

Look at it.. they take good care not to.

Same here or in israel (lets for ease sake consider that prisoncamp a part of israel) The people in charge think of their positions, so much interlaced with other capitalist prominents, they are actually making class choices.

They are protecting a class against a mass. My coonclusion, not my, not your government will do anything, only our own voices will stop the repression of palestines, and in the end, what comes to them will come to us.

Yeah bit by bit, and not starting out in amsterdam, but it will.

If this campaign of terror doesn’t rise the level of dignity a human and a populace is warranted, we will live in a darker world then before.

Think about it, remoter controlled missiles against ak47s
tanks and infrared targetting equipment against again ak47.

it will be and is, a bloody slaughter of palestineans, militants for their rights, or even just food drinks and other stuff, have no chance of survival.
teh reality any palestinean became a martyr is instrumental in shaping israelis future politics.
No palestinean is allowed to hide a weapon, but worse not a human even, because israel thinks it has an indiscriminate right to target evryone loving someone that vainly tries to defend them.

I am really starting to hate israel.
Never have i thought this strongly, they should actually disappear, not the resistance. As long as israel exists it will remain a disaster for the palestineans that should in fact live there (be it alone or with the jews).

These factors will not be accounted for in the forthcoming agreement.

Please find reason, allthough i belief reason is in the ummah, it is not in being born into a mindset.

The jews israeli’s, are born in a similar mindset, and look what it does to them?
it positively does a similar thing to muslims to be a muslim.

(just the jews feel more threatened, and taking all into consideration tehy are right, antisemitism is still only close to the surface.

In return they also feature anti me-ism. (me myself and I) but somehow that is not a big complaint in the blogosphere i can still publish, and they do have reasons to voice their opinions pronouncedly,(it slows progress from my pov. but it urges me to voice the opinion again, untill israel kills me i suppose)

Okay i have peace now that the second ww killed 4 million jews, they always escaped militairy service, so their blood isnt wasted.
it killed proportionally more germans, russians and many other ethnicity’s, and i see now what a menace zionism is for a world full of potential dictatorships.

yet i insist this is no racial viewpoint, for my part they had been anyone else.
i really dont hate them more then the next repressive filosophy (actually capitalism or facism.(the first is an euphemism for the last) Unfortunately you might want to include islam in this list. Not the quran, but the political system and its biases.

Thanks alot Onix for being one of our most regular readers. The reason i brought Islam here is the fact that a true follower of Islam will never allow such atrocities to even happen to non Muslims yet alone Muslims. There are incidents in Islamic history where the true followers of Islam went to Jihad for atrocities committed against non Muslims residing under their protection. Therefore, following Islam in its true sense will bring down killers and those involved in excesses against humanity to their knees.
Anyways, i am really glad that you understand and agree on the fact that mass atrocities are committed by Israeli’s and that you condemn them. It is a great success for the cause of Palestine.
Peace

@ Nandu
In our country yes suicide bombing is happening which off course is absolutely wrong and we all strongly condemn this kind of stuff equally as you do, but you see this is not happening in the streets of Pakistan (God for bid) at least we are safe at our homes whereas there is no single place safe in Gaza any place can be targeted. May God protect all of us from all kinds of terrorism (Amen)
