A Proud Statment by Pakistan has always been
And the above statement till this date is holding its position. However this is not case with India, where Pakistan team has been threatened on three occasions 1999, when Pakistan cricket team despite life threats went to India and fulfilled their commitements. Similarly in 2005 and 2007 series Pakistani teams have receieved threats. However this article is not about  who is right and who is wrong, but about depriving our selves of the best rivalry in the world, PAKISTAN VS INDIA. Here is the current chain on events which has totally derailed the sports rivalry , which we so very love to see. November 11, 2008 : Indian junior hockey team cancelled proposed tour of Pakistan December 18, 2008 : India refuses to tour Pakistan to play a full Cricket series January 2, 2009 : Pakistan cancels Hockey team tour of India January 3, 2009 : Pakistan cancels Squash Team tour of India One would say , India started it and Pakistan has to reciprocate, true to some extent, but than India would say, its not time to play against each other, when the countries itself are at the brink of War. Fair enough. But who loses out from this ? who misses the mouth watering prospect of seeing the best rivalry in the world? wasnt cricket a healer ? wasnt hockey a joy to watch when Pakistan played India ? didnt we tell ourselves and carry this poster ‘ Never mix Politics and Sports’ … Indians would say you did Mumbai, why would we play with you, Pakistan would deny it and ask India to stay away from Fata and Balochistan. And the musical chair of cheap blows would continue. Both Nations has always enjoyed playing cricket against each other and is being recognised as one of the best rivalries in the world. Images of Miandad hitting six of Chetan Sharma is life line for some of the fans of cricket. Similarly Misbah ul Haq scoop in the final of 20-20 world cup a tragedy for many and ‘Badla’ for Indians. Similarly Hassan Sardar’s brilliance in the hockey field and India’s dominance in the Olympic games are far over. Pakistan and India has so much to offer in sports but why it is always jeopardized by political gains is the sad point. It will continue to remain like this, coz Pakistan and India literally cannot come close until and unless the issue of Kashmir is resolved according to UN resolution. We are again standing at the same point when we were in 1947, both nations distant, sceptical,aggressive and mad. I would say, the situation wont change but at least give people of both countries this best rivalry back, we need it now to bring our Nations closer our people together. Related Articles |

As I reach the end of my vacation I cannot spend as much time I wanted on this blog.
I agree with you sports and common interest is beyond rivalry and is the first step towards friendship. India and Pakistan had the best relation from 2001 onwards. (Also note it was BJP who started this friendship and not Congress who are trying to rule by seperating the two nations, I rather we have a wolf as a wolf than a wolf pretending to be a sheep). The picture of Pakistani supporters with the message was equally reciprocated by Indians, use google you will find plenty of such pictures from India too.
Indians have always put faith in the sub continent security be it Pakistan or Sri Lanka. Take the world cup hosted by the sub continent a few years ago, Australia, South Africa and West Indies refused to play in Sri Lanka since they were not sure of security arrangement. India took the onus and transferred the match to be played between India and Sri Lanka in India and played it in Sri Lanka. India tried to prove it was safe to play in Sri Lanka but the Australians were not convinced.
In the last few weeks they were so many blogs that were highlighting India bad light and I did not see one topic on the positive side (you can find plenty), who is to be blammed for this. You were the moderator had every handle in place to put in a better blog showcasing the positive side and ease tensions but did you? Yes you can argue it was “war times” and you were angry but again if people like you loose a grip on life and let hatered rule you I dont blame the “nutwit” politicians from India cancelling the tour.
I dont blame you alone, I blame myself too. I could have put a article in place for you to publish but again most of my time was spent trying to defend India. Lets not cry over spilt milk let by gones be gone and atleast work towards a better tomorrow.

Do you mean to say that while India threatened Pakistan with “going to any length” (war) if the list of the wanted persons was not furnished by Pakistan, Indian were actually writing blogs highlighting India Bad and Pakistan good??

BTW, what positive blogs did you expect, when India plays a badly made Bollywood drama that make even lollywood directors seem like movie gods, then decides (without even starting the investigations let alone finish them) that Pakistan govt is to be blamed, then threatens Pakistan with war, then Indian planes enter Pakistan????

If you are talking about you writing an article about praising India through this whole conflict, then perhaps you should have written an article about praising the Pakistani patience, and efforts through out this indian drama, and you should have published it on the Indian blogs so Pakistanis could see that not every one is bad on the indian side, and that would ease tensions, amongst the Indian followers of the blog, and the Pakistanis too.
Unfortunately you were too, just like other indians, busy hyping up the newly released movie by actually defending the Indian side instead of accepting the faults on the Indian side before you came and started advising Owais.

After Pakistanis have seen this face of India, they await the next bollywood drama made in collaboration with the hollywood next time. But the ultimate decision maker is still Allah, and we always pray to Allah to keep all those who have bad intentions for Pakistan, away from Pakistan, and keep Pakistan safe from their dirty tricks.Ameen.

I stopped debating on the Zaid Hamid theory and will wait for final acknowledgement by your Government stating Kasab and attackers were from Pakistan. I am also waiting for the Lollywood script that would unfold hereafter.
Well, this is what we call ‘cricket war’… actually on the brighter side war in the sporting world is nothing new… allies boycotted soviet olympics… before that German olympics were boycotted… nothing new. ok now how did this go to bollywood. well, common of hindustani the masquerader.
The problem is that pakistanis dont know who will be threatening and who will be bombing. I appreciate your concern that India said no for any sport in pakistan but believe me everyone in India feels the same and we dont want that our players are killed as if that happens your 10% president will say its an act of non state actors and we have no control on it.
