India is the world biggest democracy and seventh largest country by geographical area and second most popuous country in the world. The country was ruled by Muslims for many centuries before British took over and later on divided the it on the religious grounds. In the current India there are 80% Hindus, 13.4% Muslims, 2.3% Christians and the remaining are Sikhs, Buddhists and Jews etc. This makes India a country of diverse religious groups and hence secularism suits India (only in documents). The dilemma with India is that it has two faces: 1st is the one shown by Bollywood and other powerful Indian media in which India is projected as the most progressive country where there is tremendous opportunities for growth and devoid of any communal problems. Peace prevails everywhere and India is projected as the Next Best Thing in the world (First is Hell). 2nd is the one in which poverty prevails in half of its 1.1 billion population while US $10 -15 billion are spent on purchase of weapons to suppress the freedom movements going inside India. Communal riots are common inside and hundreds and thousands of innocent people are killed in the name of religion. Mind it India is Secular. This new definition of Secularism will be surely bought by Hitler and he would love to be an Indian citizen. I was observing the comments by our Indian neighbours on this blog and did slight research on the internet and found out that there is very few sites which truly explore India. Therefore, i am taking this small effort to see what India offers to the world. I am sure you will all love to flock to India if you keep yourself updated with this series and if you don’t go there yourself, dont worry the Indians will come out after you themselves. 1. Infant mortality rate in India 32.31/1000, Pakistan 66.95/1000 which is worse than Bangla, nepal or Burma.
2. Literacy in India 67% and Pakistan 51%, yet we Indians are easily moulded by the media.
3. GDP standings India 4th in the world, Pakistan 24th. If it was TDP Pakistan would be No 1.

Regarding christians attrocities i feel bad for the people who were burnt or raped. but one thing i dont understand is why the christians were involved in coverting Hindus even though they were warned many time before. but they never learnt the lesson.

It surprised me that they know so much about our country, our politicians, our police officers. Looks like every second discussion in Pakistan is about India.
I have rarely heard ordinary citizens of Indian mention or ever bother about Pakistan except when some terror attack strikes.
I can understand Pakistanis discuss issues such as our Mumbai attack because it concerns them
too. But why do they bother what we show in OUR movies to OUR people ?
Whats your problem guys ? Why dont you go and get your own life ? We have ours.
Such negative thoughts daily are not good for you own mental health.
If you are so social conscious, why dont you concentrate your energies in developing
your country. Make Pakistan a developed country in the next few years, work towards its progress. The whole world will appreciate you and it will be like a slap in the face for us.
Perhaps then, India will follow Pakistan and use its strategies to develop itself too !!
That is the kind of direction you should steer your energies for.
As I mentioned earlier, 60+ years of hatred did not make either country any better.

Three months after the beginning of the violence against Christians, there appears to be no change. In the village of Tiangia, six people have been assassinated - including Fr. Bernard Digal - but the security forces have not carried out any arrests, and the crimes are going unpunished. The inhabitants remain in the refugee camps set up by the government, and are asking how it will be possible for them to go back home if “a climate of fear and insecurity” remains.
Last week, Sharad Pawar, the federal agriculture minister, on an official visit with two other ministers, asked the government of the state of Orissa to form “peace committees,” and expressed the hope that village leaders and local administrators will participate.
The groups most active in bringing aid to the Christians include the Missionaries of Charity, the religious order founded by Blessed Teresa of Calcutta. “We must be instruments of peace,” says Sister Suma, regional superior of the Missionaries of Charity, “in a land in which hatred and tensions still reign.” The sister is distributing food and basic necessities to the refugees, collected by Sister Nirmala, the superior general of the MC, with special attention to children. “All of the convents in India wanted to give something for the children in the refugee camps in Kandhamal.”

So you have the supply, and there is plenty of demand, hence exporting a bit of nudity bring millions of dollars in india every year from arabs alone.
