Barack Obama’s Inauguration Ceremony

President Barack Obama will officially take the office on 20th January 2009. In this regard the preparation for this mega event is finalized. Relations between US and Pakistan these days are edgy, with US asking Pakistan to do more in its Tribal Areas, while Pakistan asking them to stop Drone attacks. It will be start of another chapter in PAK US relations, what remains to be seen is , wheather the new US president with a different background would be any different than his predecessors.

‘The swearing-in of President- elect Barack Obama on January 20 is going to be the most star -studded event in US history with die-hard fans wanting to be part of the watershed event.

Celebrities from all over the entertainment spectrum are planning to flock to Washington, D.C., to welcome 47-year-old Obama, the first black-American as the 44th US President.

Die-hard Obama supporters like Oprah Winfrey and Bruce Springsteen are in talks to perform at Obama’s inauguration ceremony, so as A-listers like Beyonce, Diddy and Mary J Blige.

Some say the lists of stars would be longer as the fact is that even celebrities are having troubles that regular Obama fans are grappling with as the inauguration nears. All the hotel rooms in Washington, D.C., are sold out’.

As the nation welcomes its first African American president to the Oval Office, both the nation and the world will be watching and eagerly waiting to hear the new president’s agenda for the nation. Thousands of spectators will gather in Washington D.C. to witness first-hand history in the making, while other around the world tune in by television or radio to experience this historic event. 

The most highly anticipated moment of the 2009 Barack Obama inauguration will be the new president’s inaugural address. In this speech the newly elected president will outline his goals and ideals for the nation that he intends to pursue for the next four years.

During the evening of the inauguration, a host of inaugural galas and balls will be held in honor of the newly elected president. The new president’s supporters will warmly welcome him as Commander in Chief of the nation. While many of the past traditions will be carried on, the Barack Obama inauguration will begin a new tradition and chapter for the future of this great country.
