TakeOne-Zong Video Sharing Services

by Teleco Analyst on December 13, 2008

Zong is trying to stick to its image of being new and innovative. It has even targeted the much sought after Djuice subscribers of Telenor. Keeping up with its tradition, Zong just came up with a new and innovative service of sharing videos with anyone and anywhere.

TakeOne service is a GPRS based service and has monthly fixed charge of Rs. 25 + tax. Beside this fixed charge,  the user is also charged for all the GPRS activity as per the regular GPRS charges. On  the first time activation of the TakeOne service, Zong charges Rs. 2 + tax for the sms activation.Zong TakeOne Logo

The best thing about this service is that it uses ODP (On Device Portal). In layman term, you will download the application and use it to share your pictures. ODP makes life very easy for mobile users as their customized menu save you time of remembering commands and long steps. I hope you all remember how we had to read brochures in the beginning to type command in the sms and remember the specific number when there were no ODP’s. Now this TakeOne service of Zong has all the options on it and hence you can follow few easy steps to share pictures either on Facebook, YouTube, Flickr and Picasa or with your loved ones all across the globe.

I wonder when will all other operators come out with such amazing offerings. Zong is truly following its slogan  of “Say it All”

Below are the FAQ’s for the ease of our readers so they don’t have to browse Zong site for details and get everything here. That is what we call “One Stop Solution” :P

Just for your information, this service is the exact replica of a service offered by Telenor By the name of Pic Share which i have been using for the past one and a half years. In fact i was quite amused thou not surprised by Zong’s claim of being the first to launch such a service.
