61 Years of Indian Occupation of Kashmir Valley

Today the barbaric Indian armies have completed their 61 years of illegal occupation of Kashmir region. The Indian armies invaded Kashmir on the request of its dictatorial regime of Hari Singh back in 1947. The Kashmir region has a majority of Muslims but the dictator Harri Singh was its ruler. The Britain is also one of the main party involved in this half century of Indian barbarism in the occupied Kashmir as it was their government which didn’t solve the problem on its exit. The Britain wanted the region to be divided for ever as it suited their interest. Even the all Holy United States of American rarely raise its voice on the killing of innocent Kashmiri’s at the hand of Indian forces everyday while Bush will personally come out to condemn when one Israeli soldier is killed trying to occupy Palestinian lands.

Let us all come forward on this day and condemn the atrocities of the Indian forces on the innocent Kashmiri people and let us all demand the implementation of United Nations Resolution on the Kashmir region. Let us all also boycott the Indians and raise our voices so that they know that they cannot turn blind eye to the plight of Kashmiri people.

SRINAGAR, India (Reuters) - Indian authorities deployed thousands of troops across Kashmir on Monday to prevent demonstrations planned to mark the 61st anniversary of New Delhi’s rule over the region.
In Srinagar, Kashmir’s summer capital, troops patrolled deserted streets, erected barricades and blocked roads leading to the offices of U.N. Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP).
UNMOGIP, one of the oldest U.N. missions, monitors a 1949 cease-fire line dividing Kashmir between India and Pakistan.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, chairman of the separatist All Parties Hurriyat (Freedom) Conference alliance, was placed under house arrest to prevent him from leading a march to the U.N. office.
“October 27 is the blackest day in the history of Kashmir,” Farooq said referring to the day in 1947 when Indian troops arrived to take control of the region, just over two months after India and Pakistan won independence from Britain.
On October 26, 1947, the Hindu ruler of Kashmir said his Muslim-majority kingdom would accede to India and not join newly created Islamic Pakistan.
