Islam On The Web

Recently I happened to read an article at ReadWriteWeb, about emerging blog about Islam, Inside Islam and readers response towards it.  ReadWriteWeb also resports that Islam is the most popular religious topic discussed on web and even the web activity about Islam is more than that of Christianity.  The article has mentioned some other Islamic web as well. Here’s the short overview of these:

Inside Islam: is basically a media initiative that challenges misconceptions and stereotypical perceptions about Islam and Muslims. Collaboration between UW-Madison’s nine area and international studies centers, Wisconsin Public Radio, and the public etc are the focus of this platform.

Islam Crunch: IslamCrunch is a more interesting platform, showcasing businesses, organizations and projects that involve Muslims. It’s kinda business network of Muslim entrepreneurs and professionals.

Arab Crunch: Is another interesting media platform, dedicated to profiling and reviewing Arab originated startups and existing Internet and Mobile companies, and their products and services, especially in web 2.0 and mobile 2.0.

It’s really good to see such constructive activities on web, and I think, this is what we call the basis of changing behaviors.
