PSO MD Amin Siddiqui Resigns

PSO

The MD of Pakistan State Oil has resigned from his post after a row with the government officials on the supply of petroleum products to different government organizations despite non payment. The total amount of money that PSO owns to different government organizations has touched approximately $1 billion mark (75 billions rupees). I wonder if you agree with illegal demands of the government, you are eligible to hold your post but if you try to be honest and upright gentle man, you have no place in the government organizations. With the new PPP government in place, we are all looking forward to such resignations by honest people, who will be replaced by the corrupt officers with close ties to the governing party. May Allah save our country and give it strength to bear this tenure of PPP.

KARACHI: Pakistan State Oil (PSO) MD, Amin Sidiqui has resigned from his post on being pressurized for continuing oil supply to the government and some other organizations, despite non-payments.
Sources told Geo News that PSO has outstanding amounts of Rs75 billion against different government organizations on account of oil supply, which included an outstanding of Rs20 billion against Hubco, Rs8 billion against Pepco, while PIA owes Rs8 billion to PSO. Sources said that PSO was being pressurized to continue its oil supply uninterrupted to these organizations, despite persistent non-payments, which sparked PSO MD, Amin Siddiqui’s resignation from his post.
