Dr.Aafia’s son to re-unite with family

According to reports Dr.Aafia son will soon be handed over to Pakistani Officials . The eldest of her children Ahmed siddiqui has been accussed to be arrested with her mother in Afghanistan . While Dr.aafia’s family have been pleading fro her whereabouts for the past 5 years .

KABUL, Aug 30: The young son of Pakistani scientist Aafia Siddiqui will be returned to his family â€˜soonâ€™ by Afghanistan after he was arrested with her more than a month ago, Foreign Minister Rangeen Dadfar Spanta said on Saturday.

Ahmed Siddiqui, 11, was captured in the central province of Ghazni on July 17 with his mother who was suspected to be planning a suicide attack. She was later accused of trying to kill US officials and is on trial in New York.

â€œWeâ€™ll hand the child over to his family very soon,â€ Spanta told journalists, without giving details.

It has still not been mentioned where her other two children are located . Dr.aafia siddiqui’s matter remains unslved . the human rights organisations globally have urged for her release .
