Pre-Ramzan price hike

The extreme hike in prices of almost everything is known to all. Its the impact of country’s internal issue and overall inflation in the world. The world food crisis is also one of the major reasons for the hike in Price. In Pakistan matters are made worse due to internal issues such as smuggling and black market. This deprives consumers more and keep the prices consistently high.

Ramzan is around the corner and therefore people are expected to do a lot of ramzan grocery . Its mots unfortunate in Pakistan that prices of food and clothings usually hike around ramzan and eid time. While shopkeepers tag it as their sole time for ‘earning’, consumers cry relief . It is strange how public doesn’t receive relief specially during this time.

In lahore flour has disappeared from the markets . There is an expected hike for flour prices . Forcing the consumers to line up in large number at Sunday bazars . The only available flour is sold in the black market for around Rs450 per 20 kg. This extreme hike specially around ramzan time is extremely disappointing . We wish to see a day where public is relieved atleast during teh sacred events yearly.
