After the shocking resignation form presidency the uncertainties are prevailing yet again . the coalition partners are all set for an important meeting . The  immature ‘chairman’ of the PPP is also flying back to Karachi to take part in ‘decision making’.  Its only been a few hours of resignation and slogans of  stability and reinstatement of economy are already abuzz. according to sources with in minutes of the resignation the stock market magically shot up . Its also been said that rupee received significant appreciation against dollar . As I write this posts news flash by claiming ‘ Taliban’s have stopped the civil war for an undecided time span’.

All this with in a few hours of the unexpected resignation . Yes I call it unexpected because it wasn’t certainly most likely of Musharraf to make ’surprise’ announcements such as this . As usual this incident is being highlighted as a turning point in history of Pakistan . It is sad how our nation is deprived of political awareness , how they are made to believe that anything can be a one man show . Musharraf’s reign reflected times of prosperity merged with some wrong steps that led to his eventual ‘down fall’. To sum up his role as catastrophic will be unfair . As said by Musharraf himself its is foolish to believe that  8 years of rule have only led the country towards destruction . As we pay farewell to the President, hope still lingers on .

Somehow one doesn’t believe if this is truly the end of his time in Pakistan . It is most unlikely of him to quit like he did . Well ! what is left to say when everything is right there plain and simple . Musharraf in his speech summed up his rule and mentioned his efforts towards maintaining unity and appreciating others criticism.If Musharraf deserves some true credit it is surely his handling of criticism . It couldn’t even be imagined neither can it be expected form any other political figure to openly stand against brutal criticism like him . he not only allowed the media to openly criticize him but also answered blunt questions in talk shows very calmly . If anything is bound to leave with Musharraf its definitely the freedom of speech for the media. Musharraf’s lead on the media however also became the turning point of his career . The media suddenly opted to battle against the President and provoked much restlessness among the people. The good for nothing allies of Musharraf also turned out to be ‘truly good for nothing’ . Overall one thing after the other laid the foundation of a bitter sweet farewell for the president. Many however hoped that he would not leave us at the mercy of Mr.Zardari . O well what can one predict now , its only a matter of time .

The fate of President Musharraf post resignation is still undecided . however my personal opinion suggests his leaving the country will ruin his repution . It is sure to enlist him among the ‘other’ politcal figures in the country . What lies ahead is a long journey towards reinstating the country and strengthening law enforcement organizations. Let’s hope that this historic impeachment of the President brings waves of stability for the nation . The chances of a stable future remian uncertain specially with Mr.zardari being in the picture , but one can only hope and pray.
