Swat Operation - Justified?

I wonder why our government give time to the militants by signing useless peace agreements which the militants break every day and use the time to their advantage by taking systematic revenge against pro government civilians and security officials. I think this second phase of Swat operation should only end when the militants surrender. Signing peace treaty is nothing more then a surrender for the government because if it can not effectively fight against a bunch of misguided people, how can it justify its billion dollar defence spending bill? The same technique was used by Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka where they would sign peace treat only to re arm and to introduce new weapon systems. The Sri Lankan government first defeated them politically by stopping their active financing from India and then they started a decisive battle against them. Till date they have been flused out from all over the East and mostly from the North. The Tamils are now ready to sign unilateral peace agreements but Sri Lankan government want them to surrender without any conditions. If a small country like Sri Lanka, which takes most of its weapon systems from Pakistan can defeat a much stronger and organized Tamils, why can’t our military defeat these rag tag local mercenaries? I think we need to identify the true enemies of Pakistan and only start a decisive operation against them. It is high time that our media also rage a media war against the Talibans and isolate the militants from the local people. Without the cooperation of locals, the government can not defeat these imported militants. Pakistan also has to present the evidence of Indian involvement in these militancies to the United Nations and other international organizations and expose the double standards of Indian government.

The innocenet people who are losing their lives because of the ongoing operations should hold the militants responsible for breaking the peace treaty.
