Constant US and NATO Attacks in Pakistan

The continuous attacks by Americans and NATO forces inside Pakistan is what the Musharraf was trying to avoid for a long time. The only difference is that Musharraf used our army to do the dirty work of killing our own tribals while now the Americans are themselves doing it. Keeping in mind the two incidents of yesterday where NATO killed 15 Pakistani soldiers and officers and around 50 are still missing, it is high time that we re evaluate our strategy of cooperation with the American and NATO forces in the region. The strong condemnation from our army is evident of the fact that the new general wants to restore the pride of army in the eyes of the nation and that is one main reason that they have pulled out of tribal areas.

The strategy adopted by our military is very effective as the so called new coalition government will understand the effect of American pressure on them while at the same time army won’t take the brunt of the retaliation for killing our own people.

In any case, the incidents of yesterday should be condemned in strong terms and apology should be sought from the Americans who are still sticking to the point that the attack was justified. Moreover, we should also ask for compensation for the families of the martyred soldiers and civilians of the yesterday cowardly incident.
