PPP Government - Impediment in Judges Reinstatement

The role of Musharraf is nothing more then a ceremonial President in the current situation. The real people who are running the show are Asif Zardari, Sherry Rehman and Rehman Malik assisted by American Embassy in Islamabad. It is these people who are the real impediment in the reinstatement of the deposed judges. The PML-N leadership is devoted to the cause of judges reinstatement but since it has majority only in Punjab, it is of not much worth.

The Lawyers Long March is a historic step in the effort to reinstate deposed judges but PPP government is playing a typical role of hypocrites by publicly giving statements supporting the Long March while in reality they are following the previous government tricks. They forgot to learn one thing that the previous government is sitting in their homes just because of these tricks and in todays media powered age, the foul plays will only erode the popularity of PPP in a very short time and PML-N will surely be the winner in the next elections.

This also reminds me of the fact that we are back in 90’s when PPP used to replace PML-N and vice versa. In two decades we have failed to get off Zardari, Benazir and Sharifs saga while we have constantly added further names to the list of corrupt people like Sherry Rehman and Rehman Malik.

There were reports that the provincial governments, especially that of Punjab, had rejected the federal government’s request to send police to Islamabad in aid of the capital’s administration. Continue…
