HTC fans, you can use pointui, its free-UI which runs on Windows mobile, really pimps up the gui and is pretty quick.

I-phone is all shashka, that by all means is not negative, but Windows mobile provides just so much more flexibility and scalibility...and u can always add shaska with 1000s of apps out thier for it...

HTC is really the bang for buck, and iphone, i think it'll get too common to be 'cool' sooner or later. HTC still has that sophisticated looks to it..imo..iphone is for boys and htc is for men.

Not exactly in Europe though... well i ll be getting my hands on a non-commercial unit. The 3D user interface is indeed a great feature basically its an upgraded version of hTC Touch Flo code named as HTC Manila, (might give the IPhone interface run for its money). The Touch diamond will be in Pakistan probably during start of the 3rd Q of this year.

So Pretender you are lucky to be in Europe as it will be released later in the year in rest of the world and HTC greatly changes its model for different regions!
Moreover, the 3d effect thing is also very attractive feature

The Diamond is more pitted against Sony upcoming Xperia X-1 rather Iphone since both share the same OS version i.e WM 6.1. The most imporatnt aspect is the 528 Mhz processor, which is currently the fastest processor hTC has so far used in their product portfolio. I think this product will attracts prosumers & techies alike..

P.S: Excited..., As i ll be getting my hands on this beauty in a week time!

Nice one Eric!
I have been a great fan of HTC though i never used one myself. I am currently using P1i and that i found amazing phone though it lacks the attractive softwares which my friends with iPhone show to me to change my support for P1i.

That's good news! I am very fond of the cell phones by this Taiwan-based manufacturer. They don't come cheap, but I've had the privilege to own a couple of them. HTC usually is first to deliver handheld devices with the latest top notch technology, all together in really compact devices.

But the thing is: they ship with Windows-powered software. Which is handy for people like me that like programming as a hobby, but Window Mobile runs a bit slow and that gets uncomfortable if you are used to phones from other brands like Nokia. If you don't care about running extra applications like GPS navigation on your phone, then Windows-powered phone aren't (or were not) what gets an average user to save money for.

When I tried the iPhone from Apple I was amazed with how much faster and more intuitively the user interface is presented on screen. -This iPhone look and feel is what I want on my HTC phone!- OK, the Windows-software on my HTC has more features built in, but it often feels slow and unpretty compared to the phone from Apple. Even when HTC threw in their TouchFLO software layer it couldn't really compete with the iPhone.

This new HTC phone though... has a 3D graphics processor. Which probably means that Windows Mobile runs faster and can get up to par with those creative menus that iPhone has. - Great, HTC rocks!

Note to myself: start saving money and buy one next year when prices drop. :-)
