Fatima Bhutto - A Different Bhutto

Fatima Bhutto

I have been following Fatima Bhutto for quiet sometime now and i think she is an interesting person. The very sad nature of the death of her father Murtaza Bhutto is shocking to every one and the mystery behind his death is still unsolved, but then a lot of murders at this level never gets solved in Pakistan. Till date the death of Zia Ul Haque, Benazir Bhutto and Musaf Ali Mir haven’t been solved so we don’t expect much in the case of Murtaza Bhutto.

While roaming around in cyber world, i came across a blog which tracks her movements across the globe and found out that recently she was invited to Cuba to speak on the US economic sanctions on Cuba. I have already mentioned the fact that she is Hizbullah leader fan and she even hangs it at her wall. This thing has impressed me as i myself is a big time fan of Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah. I have heard to this speeches and they are logical and make sense and the way he handled the Lebanon crises, it is really impressive.

Fatima Bhutto has also been visiting Iran, Lebanon and Syria and she has been involved in community services activities. I really appreciate all these actions of hers and i think she is a different from other Bhutto’s. I must confess here that i totally disagree with her constant criticism on Benazir, though i am not her fan as well, but i think she could devout her energies to better causes then wasting them on just criticizing her late aunt and uncle Zardari.

Till date she claims that she do not want to be in active politics but then everyone changes with the passage of time and it is only a matter of time when she will be part of it. In that case, i wonder if she will remember her passion as of today or she will become an all together different person, blinded by the power of the seat.

cool, i found this website with her videos on youtube

    http://www.youtube.com/user/expectopatrono

as well can u direct us to the blog which tracks her movements?

  2. well i believe Fatima Bhutto is none different than the people whom she criticises.I myself am a great follower of Fatima but her reaction after the death of BB was shocking to me………..she didnot spare her even after her death…………and then what can she do???????just deliver speeches in air-conditioned rooms………..if she really have the guts then what is she running from?tell her to come and face the music

  3. I agree aimon that she spend most of her time in criticism which is sadly the only thing our politicians do!

  4. I don’t recall fatima criticizing bibi after her death ! in fact she wrote a brilliant piece farewell to wadi bua ! she always criticized bibi’s politics and continuously said she would do so in the future however she didn’t attempt to cast personal attacks on her after the assassination .

  5. lolz! yea that change of attitude was shocking that same fatima filled pages and pages to criticize Benazir and in just few hours of her death, she was on her side and trying to tell the world that she is still family despite all the dirt she threw at her and without getting a single rebuke from her aunt.

  6. Her writing is so sloppy. she is young but definitely not as qualified as others seem to think. A Hizbullah sympathizer! You mean she’s a terrorist sympathizer - that makes her a terrorist too! As much as she hates benazir, and her long writings about revenge and how her father’s “murderers” are living in rewarding lives, I really think Fatima Bhutto killed her. She has the minimum political clout required to carry out an assasination, taliban will fall at her feet being a rich pretty woman and she can hire henchmen she has lots of money and her family has a hell lot of money from hundreds of ill-gotten ways - she is one to talk about corruption!

  7. Amira i dont agree with Fatima on so many thing but i dont think she has anything to do with her murder. Moreover i dont agree with the fact that Hizbullah is terrorist organization keeping in mind the fact that Israel deserved someone like them to keep them in senses. I wont get into that debate but i dont categorise Hizbullah as terrorist organization rather they are true freedom fighters.
